The Macallan Edition No. 1–6 Complete Collection brings together all six releases from one of The Macallan’s most distinctive limited-edition series. The Macallan Edition No. 1 — 2015

The Macallan Edition No. 2 — 2016

Edition No. 2 brought together The Macallan’s Master Whisky Maker and the three Roca brothers of the renowned El Celler de Can Roca. The expression was shaped by seven exceptional oak cask types from four different bodegas, creating a rich and characterful single malt. It was bottled at 48.2% ABV.

Tasting profile: Golden syrup in colour, with treacle, ginger, toffee apples, rich fruit, vanilla and tropical fruit on the nose. The palate introduces cracked black pepper, cloves, chocolate, brown sugar, oak and nuts, followed by liquorice and brandy snaps. The finish is full, slow, warm and viscous.

The Macallan Edition No. 3 — 2017

With Edition No. 3, The Macallan explored the relationship between whisky and aroma through a collaboration with master perfumer Roja Dove. Drawn from European and American oak casks, the whisky was designed around its aromatic complexity and the connection between fragrance and flavour. It carries an ABV of 48.3%.

Tasting profile: Barley gold in colour, opening with vanilla ice cream, fresh-cut oak, delicate florals and orange oil. Ginger, cinnamon and nutmeg bring spice, while citrus, chocolate and burnished oak add depth. The palate combines sweet fruit, vanilla and rich fruit cake with apricot, pear and crisp green apple. The finish is long, sweet and fruity.

The Macallan Edition No. 4 — 2018

Edition No. 4 marked the opening of The Macallan’s new distillery and celebrated the craftsmanship, architecture and design of the new site. The expression was created from a combination of European and American oak casks and bottled at 48.4% ABV.

Tasting profile: Burnished copper in colour, with bold honey, sweet apple, orange zest, ginger and nutmeg on the nose. The palate opens with nutmeg, wood spices and green cloves before developing a sweet, vanilla-rich texture. The finish is fruity, with oaky sweetness and lasting persistence.

The Macallan Edition No. 5 — 2019

Edition No. 5 celebrated The Macallan’s natural colour spectrum in collaboration with the Pantone Color Institute™. Its distinctive purple presentation reflects the creative focus of the release, while the whisky itself demonstrates the relationship between colour, oak and the whisky-making process. Edition No. 5 is bottled at 48.5% ABV.

Tasting profile: The Macallan describes the colour as Sunlight Barley. Aromas of vanilla and toffee combine with oak, nutmeg, ginger, lemon, basil and pear. On the palate, fresh caramel develops into poached peaches and ripe pear, followed by toffee and light oak spices. The finish is long and sweet.

The Macallan Edition No. 6 — 2020

The final chapter, Edition No. 6, draws inspiration from the natural landscape surrounding The Macallan Estate, particularly the River Spey. Whisky Maker Steven Bremner selected five distinct cask types to create the final expression, combining American and European oak to produce a rich and layered character. Edition No. 6 is bottled at 48.6% ABV.

Tasting profile: Antique brass in colour, with rich fresh fruits, nutmeg, ginger, chocolate, toffee, vanilla and oak. The palate brings together plum, sweet orange, cinnamon, nutmeg, balanced oak, toffee and oats. The finish combines fresh fruit and spices with creamy chocolate and toasted oats.
