Hibiki 17-Year-Old Blended Whisky

Hibiki 17-Year-Old Blended Whisky. The name Hibiki means “resonance” in Japanese. Suntory Whisky Hibiki resonates with the subtleties of nature infused by the 24 seasons of Japan’s traditional calendar and is reflected in the 24 facets of its bottle design. Suntory Whisky Hibiki is a harmonious blend, blessed with the riches of Japanese nature and craftsmanship. However, the Hibiki was launched in 1989 to commemorate Suntory’s 90th anniversary and has since been embraced as the paragon of The Art of Japanese Whisky, the product of Japanese nature and her people.

Furthermore, Hibiki Whisky is not only Japan’s most highly awarded blended whisky but also among the world’s most prestigious and honored whiskies. In Addition, Hibiki 17 was discontinued in 2018 and now the bottle is becoming increasingly sought after.

Undoubtedly, a world-renowned Japanese blend, Hibiki 17 Year Old is made with aged malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s distilleries. Initially released in 1989, the blend is matured in Japanese mizunara oak casks at Yamazaki. Significantly, Hibiki means harmony, which has certainly been achieved in this wonderful and iconic blend.

In Conclusion, an awesome Japanese blend made with aged malt and grain whiskies from Suntory’s three distilleries. Lately spicy and sophisticated, this is great for catching people out at blind tastings. Also, recently awarded a Gold ‘Editor’s Choice award from Whisky Magazine and picked up the top prize in its category at the World Whisky Awards 2010. Hibiki 17-Year-Old Blended Whisky

  • Tasting Notes by Mark Gillespie, World Whiskies Awards 2012

    • The mild smokiness and toasted oak with hints of nutmeg. Lemon-lime citrus at first, followed by a strong cinnamon blast that fades slowly into the finish as the citrus note returns. Hints of hazelnut, and fading cinnamon.

  • Tasting Notes by Robin Laing, World Whiskies Awards 2012

    • The nose gives tempura cooking oil, donuts, candyfloss, and coconut fudge. A warm, pleasant taste of fruity toffee, barley sugar sticks dipped in chocolate and maroon glacés, with an attractive heat playing around the mouth.
